Believe it or
not, "Ballad of the Bard" is not the intended final title for this work.
I just needed something close enough in order name the blog, and to
have something pithier than "that computer parody novel" when I referred
to it.
My current top contender is:
The Eight-Bit Bard:
A fantasy novel set to the tune of classic computer role-playing games
But that's not
set in stone. I've considered a lot of others. The major points a title
needs to hit are that it's basically a fantasy novel, but that it also
ties in heavily with older computer games, especially RPGs. Some other
ideas have included:
* A Bard, a Ssorceror, and a DOS Prompt
* Hit Points: One Bard's Tale
Plus a bunch of
others that I've since discarded. But, what do you say? Nothing is set
in stone until the whole project is finished and I've given it another
one or two drafts. I'm open to suggestions or modifications. As I said,
something that evokes a blend of fantasy novel and old computer games
would be ideal.
